Des Moines Data For Good was founded in May 2020 by Scott Anderson, Joel Rosenberg, and Bryan Clavenna with the intention of pairing local analytics talent with the many worthy nonprofits in the Des Moines area.

Board Members

Tammy Armstrong, President

Tammy Armstrong is passionate about using data to help nonprofits solve problems. She is the owner of Little Data Solutions, LLC, which helps nonprofits and small businesses with their reporting and analytics needs.

Tammy has over ten years of experience in the analytics field, five years of professional experience working in and with nonprofits in fundraising, event planning, and CRM database management, and nearly two decades of experience in volunteering. She holds a BA in economics from Gettysburg College and a MS in analytics from North Carolina State University.

Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson founded Des Moines Data for Good in 2020 with Joel Rosenberg and Bryan Clavenna. He now serves as a director and has acted as the technical lead for projects like the HealthWorks graduation analysis.  

His day job is Lead Data Scientist at John Deere. He has five years of experience in analytics and over 20 years experience in information technology. He holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a Masters in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University.

Bill Coddington

Bill Coddington is the Accountable Care Organization Finance Manager for UnityPoint Health, where he focuses on financial analysis and analytics for UPH’s population health programs.  With over 20 years in healthcare data analytics, Bill has a passion for using data to improve our community.  He has a BA from Middlebury College and Masters of Health Administration from the University of Iowa.

Joel Rosenberg

Joel Rosenberg is the Sr. Director of Analytics at Life Care Services (LCS), leading data science, data governance, and quantitative research. Joel has spent his career working in a variety of analytics roles and is passionate about enabling businesses to become data driven. In his free time, Joel and his fiance Bailey enjoy biking, hiking, and exploring the Des Moines restaurant and bar scene.

Bryan Clavenna

Bryan Clavenna is an Enterprise Account Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS).  Bryan has a passion for leveraging data to help organizations solve problems and make better decisions.  When he isn’t chasing after the kids with his wife, Breta, they are looking for their next favorite food or place to travel.
